What is VisitArt
VisitArt is a biannual magazine born in April 2010 with the intent of informing a vast public in a concise and thorough manner of all of that occurs in Florence in the arts, dedicated in particular to museums and to all places of art and culture.
The great success of VisitArt is owed to its being an innovative magazine in its content, in its ‘extra large’ format, and in its elegant and airy graphics.
Published in two languages (Italian and English), it is conceived to reach the broadest public possible: the citizen, the tourist, and all those interested in knowing what is happening in the city.
2011 is a green year!
This issue and the previous one are dedicated to reviving the green soul of Florence in all its variety: gardens, parks, herbariums, botanical illustrations, touristic routes… and much more.
In issue 4:
- the usual schedule of activities of all museums and of the various cultural entities for autumn and winter 2011/2012 - special in-depth examinations on the theme of green, with “focus” on the most beautiful cloisters in Florence, on the new Mineralogy Section of the Natural History Museum, on the European University Institute, and on the Still Life Museum in the Medici villa of Poggio a Caiano - in-depth examinations of other aspects of the city’s cultural life, such as the important project "Piccoli Grandi Musei" and the initiative "Le Stanze dei Tesori", dedicated to museums born from historic collectionism in Florence - a large space dedicated to activities for children and young people - an architectural route centered on the history of the public parks in Florence - a section dedicated to the Botanical Gardens in Tuscany.
